Part-Time
Therapist/ Full-Time Student Resource Manual
Desrosiers, M., Bossers, A., Gage, M.,
Hartley, M. 1997
This manual is intended to be a resource for students, their fieldwork educators, and university fieldwork coordinators as they recruit appropriate placement sites with part-time therapists and develop strategies suitable to the specific needs of each individual fieldwork site. Given the small number of pilot placements from which the information in this manual was derived, the user should consider this manual to be a starting point rather than a complete guidebook
Price: $10.00 US / $15.00 CANADIAN includes shipping and handling

Due to the small number of pilot placements from which the information in the manual is derived, the user should consider the manual to be a starting point rather than a complete guidebook.

Students complete 1000+ fieldwork hours in various types of settings and areas of practice in order to graduate and practice as an occupational therapist. A critical element of the placement process, lies in the evaluation of the student. The Competency Based Fieldwork Evaluation for Occupational Therapists (CBFE-OT)is a measure that can be used for any level of fieldwork and within any placement area. Based on 7 Core Competencies for Practice, rather than a lengthy list of skills, the measure is easy to understand, user friendly and is applicable in any setting. An integrated learning contract appears on the reverse side of each competency and provides a way for the student to integrate and have his/her personalized learning objectives evaluated for each of the competencies.
