NMR Spectrometers

Three NMR spectrometers for biological NMR spectroscopy are housed in the UWO Biomolecular NMR Laboratory. Two Varian Inova 600 MHz spectrometers are equipped with four channels (two full band, 2 low band), triaxial (x,y,z) gradients and deuterium decoupling accessories. Probes include a 5 mm triple resonance {1H,13C,15N} probe with x,y,z-gradients and an 8 mm triple resonance {1H,13C,15N} probe with z-gradients. In addition a cold probe offering about 2.5 times the 1H sensitivity as the regular room temperature probe is available.

We also have access to the 800 MHz NMR instrument at NANUC in the University of Alberta in Edmonton.

Computational Facilities

NMR spectrometers are controlled by Dell workstations. In addition there are Apple computers available for processing using the software NMRDraw and NMRView.
