I am a lecturer in Bee Science at FAFU in Fuzhou, China. My research interests focus on thermal biology and effects of adverse temperature on insect physiology. My former research themes mainly address impacts of abnormal temperatures on honeybee pupa development which manifest physiological and morphological defects in adults. I also tried to find out molecular pathways underlying the chill susceptibility during honeybee development. During a 12-month visiting research in Sinclair Lab, I would like to address the physiological mechanisms underlying the critical thermal limits in Drosophila, basically I will take D. melanogaster as the test model. Besides, I will grasp systematic approaches in thermal physiology in Sinclair Lab, which will facilitate my future researches in bee health promotion as well as bee-enemy interaction (ectoparasitic mites, wax moth and hornets).
