For my last year at UWO I had the excellent opportunity to completed my undergrad research thesis in the Sinclair lab. My main focus was laying groundwork for a calorimetry project to measure the ice content of the spring field cricket (Gryllus veletis). I have eclectic field work experience, namely a project with Wildlife Preservation Canada to conduct a study on the diversity and richness of bumble-bee species in Ontario, as well as collecting specimens of Bombus terricola to contribute to a breeding program. I’m excited to return to lab work, learn a whole new set of skills, and do a deep dive into the Asian Longhorn beetle. I'll be based at the Great lakes Forestry Centre in Sault Ste Marie, and doing all things physiology.
