Banana cream tiramisu
Ingredients
- 9- by 5-inch (2 L) loaf pan, lined with waxed paper
- 12 giant ladyfinger biscuits (about 5 oz/ 150 g)
- 3 tablespoons of pure maple syrup, divided (45 mL)
- 1 cup of lower-fat non-dairy whipped topping (250 mL)
- 1 cup of prepared fat-free chocolate pudding, made with 1% milk (250 mL)
- 1 large banana
- 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts (50 mL)
Alternative Suggestions
- Instead of using maple syrup, you may use a low-fat chocolate syrup.
Instructions
- In a loaf pan, arrange 6 ladyfingers in a single layer across the bottom.
- Drizzle evenly with two tablespoons of maple syrup.
- In a medium bowl, fold the whipped topping into the chocolate pudding.
- Slice 2/3 of the banana and arrange in a single layer over the ladyfingers.
- Spoon ½ of the pudding mixture over the banana and spread evenly.
- The remaining banana can be wrapped and set aside.
- The remaining 6 ladyfingers can be arranged in a single layer over the pudding.
- Drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of maple syrup over the ladyfingers.
- The rest of the pudding mixture can be piped on the ladyfingers.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours.
- Sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
