You can change the future even when no one believes you.

Canadian author Vladimir Tumanov opens the door to a real adventure from recent history. Inspired by the mythological character Cassandra, the prophet whose words are not believed, the breathless adventure makes one think about the consequences of the damage done to nature. The novel cleverly tells the story of a child's relentless struggle to save her  loved ones and the experiences of a family brutally excluded by the townsfolk. Cassandria (Sandie) pits courage, solidarity and resolve against human greed. Educators and parents alike read Tumanov who is known for his fantastic novels that have made countless children love mathematics and geography in many countries.

Plot

Cassandra lives in a peaceful little town in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.  The year is 1967, and Canada is preparing to celebrate its 100th birthday.  On the morning of her twelfth birthday, Cassandra finds a mysterious letter from the remote future — 2017. Written in her own handwriting, it foreshadows a great disaster set to happen in a few weeks! A mountain that hangs over the town and attracts thousands of tourists will collapse on the inhabitants on July 1st.  Cassandra is terrified and struggles to prevent this disaster by warning everyone. However, no one believes her except a boy called Jay. Afraid that  Cassandra's warning will turn away tourists, the townspeople turn on the girl and her family — even though a geologist's report confirms the impending danger. The hour of doom is fast approaching…
