You have a message from the future and the past at the same time!  A summer vacation that starts on a peaceful lake turns into a breathless search blended with curiosity, suspense and humor. The novel, which reveals the journey of humanity from prehistory to the present, explores the question of where technological developments can lead.

Spending their summers at their grandmother's cottage on the shores of Cameron Lake, the twins Del and Renee save the life of a quiet and bizarre boy named Teddy. Teddy lives with his reclusive grandmother Lou in a strange cottage from which eerie sounds mystify all the residents around the lake. Then suddenly, Lou is hospitalized, and Teddy has to stay with the twins and their grandmother. It turns out that Lou is not just a grumpy recluse: in the past she did research on Luyten's Star — located 12.3 lightyears away from our solar system — and even wrote a book about it... Thanks to Teddy's radio telescope, signals come from space to Lou's computer. The children have to solve the mystery of these messages. They do this while facing a threat from a dangerous professor who will stop at nothing to get what he wants...
