Consumables
Paimon is always hungry - especially after a quest!
Although Genshin Impact is an action packed game - players can take a break from the battles and quests and indulge in a little cooking! Cooking helps to heal and revive characters in the heat of battle and even can give them a little boost to their character’s ATK, DEF or CRIT Rate stats.
How to Cook
To start cooking, ingredients are selected and put into the black pot. A timer will count down and the goal is to hit the orange section to produce a 'Delicious Dish' which will ensure the character receives bonus stats. If the yellow section is hit, this will produce a 'Regular Dish' that will not add on any bonus stats. If the player hits the grey section, they will produce a 'Suspicious Dish' which have the lowest stats for that specific dish.
Dishes are grouped into of four categories;
Eating these dishes during a battle can help to boost DEF, ATK, and elemental damage. Find a full list of food items as well as their stats here!
Add a bonus boost to each dish!
Use characters to give your dish an additional bonus! Characters with bonuses such as Diona and Barabara can increase your chance to obtain two dishes from cooking a meal with restorative effects. Other characters can increase your chance of creating a special dish which increases the potency or duration of your dishes effects.
Cuisine in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact cuisine plays a role in some of the character quests in the game (Paimon loves to sample food wherever she travels to as well!). Each major city in Genshin Impact has their own beloved restaurants which allow you to purchase recipes that you can learn to make yourself!
Mondstadt Cusine
Mondstadt is known across Teyvat for their drinking culture and their Dandelion wine from the Dawn Winery. Mondstadt is also famous for their Sweet Madames, Mondstadt Grilled Fish and Hashbrowns. You can purchase items such as Fisherman’s Toast and Teyvat Fried Egg from Sara at Good Hunter in Mondstadt City.
Liyue Cusine
Liyue's spices and seafood are an important part of their cultural dishes. You can create iconic dishes such as Crystal Shrimp, Black-Back Perch Stew, Golden Crab and Jueyun Chili Chicken from items found across Liyue. To experience more of Liyue’s Cuisine, it is recommended to play through the story quest, 'Mondstadt Gastronomy Trip', where you meet Xiangling, a chef from Liyue who needs your assistance to defeat the chef of Springvale in a cook off.
Inazuma Cusine
Cuisine in Inazuma is inspired by traditional Japanese food such as sushi, sashimi, ramen and tempura. Every year Inazuma holds an ourdoor event known as the Irodori Festival, which celebrates the Five Kasen who were singers and poetry writers of ancient Inazuma. In a limited time event, the Hues of the Violet Garden - players were able to experience the Irodori Festival with characters Kamisato Ayato and Kouju Sara!
