Storyline
The story begins with two twins, Aether and Lumine who are travelling between worlds when they come across Teyvat. Upon their arrival, their path is blocked by an unknown diety known as the “Sustainer of Heavenly Principals." A fight ensues as they try to make an escape. One of the twins is taken by the god while the other is left stranded in Teyvat. After two months one of the twins meets Paimon who nicknames them 'Traveler' and who vows to accompany them on their journy across the seven nations of Teyvat to find their lost sibling.
The World of Teyvat
Teyvat is comprised of seven nations which are ruled by a group of gods known as the Archons. Each nation’s Archon yields a different element: pyro, hydro, anemo, electro, dendro, cyro, and geo. These Archons rule over their perspective nation;
Monstadt
Mondstadt is known as the "City of Freedom” and is located to the northeast of Teyvat. The people of Mondstadt worship the Anemo Archon, Lord Barbatos, and its city is protected by the Knights of Favonius.
Liyue
Liyue is home to the god of contracts known as Rex Lapis, the Geo Archon. The nation prides itself on Liyue Harbor which is known for business and economic prosperity throughout Teyvat. Liyue is characterized by mountainous geography and exploring the paths may lead to uncovering the secrets of the Adepti, a group of magical beings and gods bound by contract to protect Liyue.
Inazuma
Inazuma is located to the far East of Teyvat and ruled by the Electro Archon, Raiden Shogun. Inazuma is known for its dangerous environment with endless thunderstorms. Since the beginning of the Sokoku Degree, the country has largely isolated from the rest of Teyvat.
Sumeru
The nation of Sumeru is home to rainforest, deserts, and is known across Teyvat for its prestigous academic centre known as Sumeru Akademiya. The people of Sumeru worship the Dendro Archon known as Lesser Lord Kusanali.
