If you are unhappy with your grade, please wait a minimum of 24 hours to contact me about it. This is to allow both of our emotions time to settle, and to give you time to read my comments thoroughly to hopefully understand why you got the grade that you got. After the 24 hours has passed, we can have a conversation about the grade, and if from that conversation I determine that it would be suitable to change the grade, then I will do so. I do not accept resubmissions of papers, as a way of being respectful of my own time.
I do encourage all of you to think of grades that you are unhappy with as learning opportunities rather than failures. Easier said than done, I know. I’ve been there! It’s important to remember that our value as humans is in no way reliant on these grades.
