Every assignment is due on a Wednesday night at 11:59pm. Every assignment also has an automatic three-day grace period. Therefore, if you need to, please take advantage of this and submit your assignment by the Saturday at 11:59pm.
Beyond this automatic three-day grace period, I am generally very flexible with due dates and deadlines. If you want or need longer than the Saturday-night due date, please reach out to me via email, in office hours, or at class to discuss an alternative extension. When requesting a further extension, please tell me what you would like your new due date to be, and I can either confirm it as your new deadline or we can further negotiate from there.
Overall, there is no need to give me a reason why you need an extension or provide any official documentation. I hope we approach our work and our collaborations this semester with trust and respect, and I extend this to you with your assignments. No justifications, no self-labelling or self-revealing is necessary.
